It all started in 2022, during a summer vacation in Portugal. My family loves taking long walks on the beach, and ever since I was a child, I have entertained myself by collecting shells.

That day, when I got home, I went to my childhood room and saw that I had beads, clasps, strings, and my mini Black and Decker drill that my mom had given me many years ago. At the time, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it; it was a strange gift to me… but at that moment, I felt the urge to drill the shells and make necklaces! It was a memorable afternoon with the family.

Months later, my mom went to Cape Town and brought me a bag with 5kg of beads! I had never seen such an amount.

I knew I had to get to work and start creating…

Over the course of two years, I made dozens and dozens of necklaces. It got to a point where it was crazy, with necklaces all over the house. Around that time, I was walking down the street, and a girl told me she loved the necklace I was wearing. I felt super happy and proud because I had made it myself… That was the day I decided to create Holidaze.
